Magic Hugs

To be in her arms puts me in a lot of places
In my mother's arms after scraping my knee
Assuring me everything is ok
Her suttle movements remind of hugging a child
So small, energetic, and full of curiosity
The release of her breath is like that of a baby
I want to rock her to sleep very quietly
Her shoulder reminds me of a pillow
Where the sweetest dreams occur in my head
The smell of her hair puts me in spring
The warmth from her heart puts me in summer
If I feel I could fly its because of her eyes
The bluest of skies on the most beautiful day
Her lips soft clouds her words like the wind
Sweeping me away far from what I know
Until her youthful spirit brings me home again
To be in her arms puts me in a lot of places
