3am storm

Everytime I hear the thunder
rumble
I think of that muggy, summer
night
on your hammock
drunk on cheap beer
our
bodies
lightly touching
watching the stars slowly
fade into the
clouds
waiting
for something to happen
and when the rain began to fall
we
reached out for each other
our bodies
clinging
together
on the grass
holding on to the moment hoping
it would never
end

OH HOLY FUCK YES! a great grand welcome to you little lady...please post often! I rather enjoy the female side of this little literary land we've created together!

I agree with lil but I’ll go just a bit further and say that this poem is very relatable; I could see your words transmit to a time in my life. It was simple, it was justified, and it was true and I love it. It can be yours but at the same time I understand it in my own way. Please keep it up!
